What is dermapen?

It is a method of micro-needling that makes hundreds of microscopic perforations on the surface of the skin with a device with a large number of millimetric needles at the tip, thus initiating the skin`s own natural healing mechanism.

How does Dermapen work?

The goal of this treatment is to achieve skin restructuring by creating several controlled small wounds on the skin with minimal epidermal damage. During the application, 250-500 microchannels are formed on the upper skin at 1cm² with needles of 0.5-2.5mm length. Each of these channels is perceived as a wound on the skin. To close these wounds, the skin tries to repair itself by increasing blood circulation in that area and secreting various growth factors. In addition, various vitamins, enzymes and even PRP solution applied to the skin surface during the procedure can be used to deliver subcutaneously from these opened microchannels. As a result, the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin is triggered and skin renewal occurs in that area.
